Clinical Pharmacist in Berrien Springs, MI

A hospital pharmacy is seeking two inpatient clinical pharmacists to provide expert medication management and ensure safe, accurate drug therapy in a busy inpatient setting. Both positions start June 1st for a 13-week contract in Elkhart, IN - conveniently located near South Bend, IN.


Shift options include:

• Day Shift: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM
• Day/Evening Shift: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize Cerner EMR and Meds Manager for order verification with precision and compliance
• Prepare and verify medications including IV antibiotics, anticoagulants, and electrolytes
• Manage inpatient medication distribution processes, including Pyxis and Pharmacy Keeper systems
• Support IV room operations with preparation and quality checks
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Cerner order verification is mandatory
• Familiarity with inpatient pharmacy hospital distribution services and IV room preparation
• Experience with hospital-based medications, particularly intravenous therapies
• New graduates may qualify if experienced with Cerner Meds Manager order verification
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility location
