Production Planner Production Planner

Position Overview
The Production Planner is responsible for coordinating and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This role involves analyzing demand forecasts, managing work in progress, and ensuring that materials are available for production while maintaining compliance with industry standards such as AS9100 and ISO.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet demand and optimize resource utilization.
• Analyze demand forecasts and adjust production plans accordingly to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure materials are available for production and manage inventory levels.
• Track work in progress (WIP) and provide regular updates on the status of production schedules.
• Collaborate with various departments to implement standard operating procedures (SOP) and continuous improvement initiatives based on Six Sigma principles.
• Utilize ERP and MRP systems, specifically Epicor, to effectively manage production planning and scheduling activities.
• Perform data modeling and analysis to identify trends and improve forecasting accuracy.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management on production performance, capacity planning, and potential issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in production planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ERP and MRP systems, particularly Epicor.
• Familiarity with industry standards, including AS9100 and ISO.
• Proficient in Excel and data modeling tools.
• Understanding of Six Sigma methodology and its application in manufacturing processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
