Registered Nurse (RN)The RN implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person. Focuses on the creation of a caring environment centered on healing and wellness. Nursing practices are based on evidence and current research as well as hospital policies and procedures. Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking, and creativity. Promotes nursing excellence through collaborative relationships among nursing staff and across other disciplines. Coordinates and provides direct patient care activities on the unit. Conducts nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments. Facilitates admission, transfer, and discharge activities.
