A well-established New York City law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 2-5 years of litigation experience to join its growing practice. This role is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable managing a substantial caseload, and can work independently while delivering exceptional client service.

The practice includes a diverse mix of matters involving Labor & Employment, Condominium and Cooperative Representation, Legal Malpractice Defense, and other complex civil litigation matters.

What We're Looking For

• 2-5 years of litigation experience in New York.
• Active New York Bar admission required.
• New Jersey Bar admission is a strong plus.
• Experience handling matters involving Labor & Employment, Condo/Co-op representation, legal malpractice, insurance defense, or related civil litigation is highly preferred.
• Previous experience at an insurance defense firm is highly desirable, including familiarity with carrier reporting guidelines, budgeting, file management, and detailed billing requirements.
• Ability to independently manage cases and move matters forward with limited oversight.
• Strong legal writing, advocacy, negotiation, and client-management skills.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, high-performance environment with significant billable hour expectations.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities with excellent attention to detail.

What You'll Do

• Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution with minimal supervision.
• Handle all aspects of case management, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Develop litigation strategy and provide practical legal counsel to clients.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel.
• Prepare detailed reports and litigation updates.
• Meet established billing and reporting requirements while maintaining high-quality work product.
• Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex litigation matters when needed.
