Treatment Coordinator

InterDent Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and patient-focused Treatment Coordinator to join our dental team. The Treatment Coordinator serves as a key liaison between patients and clinical staff, helping patients understand recommended treatment plans, financial options, and scheduling needs. This role is essential in delivering an exceptional patient experience while supporting practice growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Present and explain dental treatment plans to patients in a clear, professional, and compassionate manner.
• Educate patients on the benefits of recommended treatments and answer questions regarding procedures and care plans.
• Discuss financial arrangements, insurance benefits, payment options, and financing programs.
• Verify insurance coverage and assist patients in understanding their estimated out-of-pocket costs.
• Coordinate treatment scheduling to maximize patient convenience and provider productivity.
• Follow up with patients regarding unscheduled treatment and outstanding treatment recommendations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the practice management system.
• Collaborate closely with dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Support patient retention initiatives and contribute to practice production goals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, HIPAA regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Previous experience in a dental office, healthcare setting, or treatment coordination role preferred.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, treatment procedures, and dental insurance plans.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to explain complex information in an understandable and patient-friendly manner.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with dental practice management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
