Parts Runner

About Us: Southwest Mobile Storage specializes in modifying storage containers for sale or lease. We are seeking a reliable, Parts Runner to join our team, where communication and teamwork thrive. As a Parts Runner, you will be responsible for supporting shop, fleet, and operational activities through parts delivery, inventory support, material pickup, and transportation coordination. This role helps maintain operational efficiency by ensuring parts, tools, and materials are delivered accurately and timely to support branch operations.

Responsibilities:

• Pick up, deliver, and transport parts, tools, supplies, and operational materials between vendors, branches, yards, and job sites.
• Support shop, fleet, and operational personnel with parts and inventory needs.
• Maintain organized parts records, receipts, and delivery documentation.
• Assist with inventory organization, stocking, and material tracking.
• Inspect company vehicles and maintain cleanliness and operational readiness.
• Coordinate with vendors, fleet personnel, and operational staff regarding parts availability and delivery schedules.
• Follow company safety procedures and transportation standards.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving operational materials as needed.
• Report vehicle, inventory, or operational concerns to management.
• Maintain professionalism while representing the company during vendor and customer interactions.
• Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, climbing, and physical movement throughout shift
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Exposure to operational yards, shops, vehicles, equipment, and physical labor environments

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous parts, warehouse, delivery, or operational support experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Clean driving record preferred
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles required
• Forklift experience or certification preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills preferred
