Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
• Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA.
• Active Missouri state license or Compact state license required to start the assignment.
• Minimum 1 year of SLP experience; new graduates not accepted for this position.
• Experience in a leadership role within a skilled nursing facility or long-term care rehab setting is required.
• Knowledge of PDPM is required.
• BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an assessing therapist with responsibilities for department scheduling and attendance at facility meetings.
• Experience monitoring clinical and financial performance metrics.

Assignment Details

• M-F, eight-hour days. Times are flexible if consistent and communicated with Director of Rehabilitation.
• Preferred therapist start time must be before 6:00 AM and no later than 10:00 AM.
• Weekend requirement: No weekends.
• Role includes assessing therapist duties with some Director of Rehabilitation responsibilities, attending morning and facility meetings, assisting with schedule and providing leadership to the rehab team.
