Clinical Addictions Counselor - Outpatient Services

The Orenda Center of Wellness, LLC is a rapidly growing organization located outside downtown Frederick that is looking for a motivated individual to join our outpatient facility. We are a fun energetic company dedicated to fighting addiction and mental health stigma. We provide Medicaid patients with a range of treatment services from inpatient addiction care to outpatient long‑term mental health counseling, treating all residents as family and ensuring the highest standards of love, compassion and care. We are a dual‑diagnosis treatment facility where clients receive both substance‑use and mental health therapies simultaneously. The clinical addictions counselor reports directly to our onsite Clinical Manager and works under his or her licensure supervision each week. The counselor will conduct individual, group and/or family sessions; facilitate substance‑use groups for all levels of care; complete substance‑use clinical assessments; and document all groups and sessions in our EMR system within 48‑hour deadlines. The counselor must be comfortable working with a cross spectrum of substance‑abuse clients, including adolescents, and must be able to facilitate moderate to large groups. The counselor must manage personal time efficiently, prioritizing workload under unexpected crisis intervention needs. Qualifications Certificate of completion in addiction counseling, associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or master’s degree Appropriate Maryland state licensing and/or certification such as ADT, CSC‑AD, CAC‑AD, LGADC, or LCADC Working knowledge of ASAM criteria Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in addiction treatment and/or mental health counseling as a licensed provider Experience facilitating therapeutic group and individual sessions Understanding of treatment planning, clinical notations, dual‑diagnosis charting, and interventional skills Ability to maintain a caseload of 15 or more clients at a time while keeping documentation and clinical deadlines current Ability to pass local and federal background checks and clear a full panel drug screening Ability to handle crisis intervention with strong de‑escalation skills Adaptability and motivation to improve clients’ lives are indispensable Benefits & Position Offering Competitive starting salary $52,000 to $70,000 annually Monday through Friday work week with flexible daytime schedule; 1 evening required Company‑paid life insurance Cost sharing on medical, dental and vision coverage Onsite clinical supervision provided at no additional cost Paid national holidays (8) 4.5 weeks of PTO per year with rollover options Company‑offered wellness program 401(k) plan after 1 year of service with employer matching Employee Assistance Program (ImmediateAccess) Part‑Time Counselor Roles 2 to 3 days or evenings per week Competitive hourly rates Part‑time employee benefit package including PTO For further information or questions, please feel free to contact us directly at View email address on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr The Orenda Center of Wellness
