Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

Stand Out Home Care

Stand Out Home Care is seeking compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide quality in-home care and support to individuals who need assistance due to age, illness, disability, or other health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance.

• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, dishwashing, and maintaining a safe living environment.

• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences.

• Provide transportation to medical appointments, pharmacies, grocery stores, and other errands.

• Offer companionship, emotional support, and social engagement.

• Monitor and report changes in clients' health, behavior, mood, or condition.

• Follow established care plans and maintain accurate communication with families and care team members.

• Respect client privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older .

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

• Must possess current CPR and First Aid certification .

• Must be able to pass a background check .

• Compassionate, patient, empathetic, and dependable.

• Ability to work independently and follow care plans.

• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

• Physical stamina to assist with lifting, moving, and transferring clients.

• Basic knowledge of medication administration and safety procedures.

• Strong observation and communication skills.

• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Work Environment

• Primarily provides care in clients' homes.

• Some assignments may take place in assisted living or residential care facilities.

• Requires professionalism, discretion, and respect for client confidentiality.

• Works collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
