• Review, prepare, and serve meals in accordance with planned menus, standardized recipes, therapeutic diets, and special diet orders.

• Prepare and serve residents' nutritional bedtime snacks and provide approved substitute foods for residents who decline scheduled meals.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment while following all Infection Prevention and Control standards.

• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures, ensuring utensils, cookware, and equipment are cleaned and available for the next meal service.

• Prepare and deliver snacks, food carts, and meal trays to designated resident areas.

• Serve food and beverages in the dining room in a courteous and professional manner.

• Sweep and mop kitchen, dining, and dish room floors as directed by the supervisor.

• Assist with stocking supplies and maintaining inventory as assigned.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines.

• Report equipment concerns or safety hazards to the Dietary Manager promptly.

• Work collaboratively with the Dietary Team to provide an excellent dining experience for residents.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous food service, dietary, restaurant, or healthcare experience preferred.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred.

• Ability to properly use and care for dietary equipment and supplies.

• Ability to perform routine cleaning and sanitation duties.

• Strong customer service skills with a compassionate and resident-focused attitude.

• Patience, dependability, and a positive, team-oriented approach.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, push, or carry food carts and supplies as needed.

• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of residents, staff, or others in the workplace.
