Senior Financial Accountant

Position Title: Senior Financial Accountant Salary Range: $75,000–$125,000 DOE +Generous Discretionary Bonus We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to support the accounting, reporting, and day-to-day financial operations of a sophisticated investment fund in New York City. This role will manage fund NAV and performance updates, monthly reporting, capital calls, cash transfers, subscription documentation, and investment data across a diverse portfolio of alternative investments. Responsibilities Update NAV calculations, fund performance data, and monthly investment reporting Manage and track capital calls across investment entities and funds Coordinate incoming and outgoing cash transfers with banks, ensuring funds are directed to the appropriate entities Coordinate new subscription documentation with investment funds and accurately manage documentation containing complex financial and legal terminology Maintain investment and reporting data within portfolio management platforms, including the firm's transition to Addepar or Masttro Track accounting activity across private equity, private credit, venture capital, and other alternative investment structures Maintain strict reporting, funding, and subscription deadlines while identifying discrepancies or errors before they create downstream issues Support process improvements and leverage technology, including AI tools, to improve operational efficiency and accuracy Requirements 1–4 years of relevant experience within hedge funds, private investments, fund administration, family offices, banking administration, or consulting focused on alternative investments Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial operations Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and experience working with macros Experience with financial reporting or portfolio management platforms; Addepar or Masttro experience is a plus Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new systems and effectively utilize AI tools Exceptional attention to detail with the analytical ability to work across complex investment structures Collaborative, adaptable, and intellectually curious approach with the confidence to ask questions, identify errors, and bring forward new ideas Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off Sick time/leave benefits Paid holidays Annual performance reviews Discretionary annual bonus opportunities Access to an onsite gym If you are analytical, detail-driven, and ready to build deep expertise in the operational side of alternative investments while growing with a collaborative family office, #J-18808-Ljbffr
