Job Title Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Job Type PRN, Nonexempt Schedule As needed Saturday/Holiday coverage, Occasional weekday PTO coverage and high census Location Acute Care/Inpatient Rehabilitation Setting Overview As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver individualized therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in a rapid‑acting rehabilitation environment. Your responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, communicating updates to the supervising therapist, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Assist licensed Physical Therapists in providing rehabilitation services to improve patient mobility and independence. Monitor patient progress, document findings, and communicate changes or concerns to supervising therapists. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and discharge planning. Ensure all equipment and patient care areas are safe and maintained according to hospital standards. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification. Experience in inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and/or outpatient settings preferred.
