Title: Front Desk Location: Hotel Reports To: Lodging Supervisor Pay Rate: $18 or DOE Housing: No housing provided This is a year-round role! Summary Of Position Provide extraordinary hospitality to all guests and visitors relating to tours and company programs in addition to front desk duties involving efficient and timely reservations, check-ins / check-outs for hotel, cabins, inn, and the Rich House. Be an effective information resource regarding Park attractions and items of interest. Responsibilities In a professional and accurate manner, provide relevant information for all guest tours and company-sponsored programs relating to the park Continually present guest programs with a positive and pleasant demeanor to enhance the guest experience Efficiently and professionally handle guest reservations and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible, in a manner consistent with the company’s rate structure and policies Respond calmly and professionally to all guest complaints resolving issues as appropriate and ***escalate*** to management when necessary Keep front and back-office areas organized and clean at all times Prepare daily deposit, drop receipts and follow all company cash handling procedures Assist other team members by sharing knowledge of Park and surrounding area Understand Company’s ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas Work with housekeeping to ensure rooms are cleaned and prepped in a timely manner Perform room and cabin checks before check ins using assgined checklist Promptly and professionally handle all incoming phone calls and guest inquiries Other duties per Duties Checklist and as assigned Position Requirements Provide excellent customer service to meet and exceed customer expectations Present a positive image of the company in an upbeat, professional manner Ability to work a variety of shifts Ability to work independently and problem solve Ability to work cross functionally with other departments Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact, in a positive way, with many different personality styles Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Room Master system Knowledge And Experience Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum 1 (one) year front desk experience; minimum 1 (one) year working in a resort or National Park preferred Company Benefits 401K plan for seasonal and year-round employees, with company matching after 1 year 56 hours of paid sick time which can also be used as PTO Medical, Vision, Dental, Pet Insurance for year-round employees Employee parking on site Competitive pay rates Employee Assistance Program Returning seasonal job offers 50% discount off hotel rooms & camp site (based on occupancy and GM approval) 50% discount off retail merchandise (including jewelry) 25% off Deli & Convenience 50% off meals for a family of four for a special occasion (excludes alcoholic beverages) Site 50% discounted meals while on the clock Working for ExplorUS which allows ability to transfer to other locations throughout the US Our Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
