Contract | 16 Weeks | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting with an average daily census of 8 and a unit capacity of 10 beds
• Maintain a standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with the possibility of up to 1:3 during rare low-acuity situations
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR
• Float within the specialty, to lower-acuity units, and to sister facilities as needed
• Work assigned holidays as they fall on the schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license at time of submission
• BLS certification – American Heart Association only
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• CPI certification required – The Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers with strong critical care experience and skills will be considered
• Must reside 50 or more miles from the facility to be eligible (permanent address)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a high-acuity ICU environment
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
• Comfort with floating within scope across varying acuity levels with no restrictions
