Registered Nurse Endoscopy

Endoscopy Supervisor (RN)Salary Range: $105,000 - $120,000 annually, based on skill and experience level.Essential Functions: Managing day-to-day operations of the endoscopy area. This includes but is not limited to overseeing the scheduling of procedures, scheduling and managing staff, inventory control, human resources, staff credentialing, preventive maintenance and safety, QA/QI, and risk management.Supervision Received: Clinical ManagerEducation/Experience:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Minimum of 2 years of endoscopy experience.Basic computer knowledge.Required Licenses and Certifications:Current State RN licenseCurrent BLS and ACLS certification, PALS preferredASPAN membership preferredResponsibilities:Clinical Operations Management Monitor day-to-day internal flow of patient schedules and staffing assignments/schedulesBackup to endoscopy RN, endoscopy tech, scope washerMaintain adherence to operating policy/procedure manualsWeekly scheduled meetings with administration and/or managersPatient Survey Response Damage ControlDirect Report of Lab Tech PositionDemonstrates current, comprehensive professional knowledge and skills in conformance with recognized nursing standards and department policies including the Patient Bill of Rights and AAAHC regulations, Standards for Nursing Care and the Nurse Practice Act.Consults with physician and other health care team members in planning care and establishing desired outcomes.Inventory Oversee ordering of suppliesCoordinate Equipment Repairs/needsQA/Compliance ManagementPractices within federal, state and nurse practice guidelines and regulations.Help with the following: Maintain compliance and risk management (generator, pharmacy review, radiology, State Inspections, Infection Control reports, and incident reportsManage QA program (QA checklists/audits, Peer Review, quality improvement, quality assurance, employee competencyCoordinate and accountable for yearly inspections (life safety, pharmacy, radiology, biohazard, etc.)Quarterly Board Meetings (backup coordinator as needed)Employee Management: Employee education and risk managementMaintain employee health records and keep files up to dateConduct monthly staff meetingsCommunicate weekly employee updatesEmployee evaluationsEmployee HR IssuesBenefits:Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insuranceHealth Savings Account with an employer contributionLife InsurancePTO401(k) retirement plan with a company matchAnd more!Equal Employment Opportunity & Work Force DiversityOur organization is an equal opportunity employer and will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment based on race, color, creed, sex, religion, marital status, age, national origin or ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, parental status, sexual orientation, veteran status, genetic testing results or any other consideration made unlawful by federal, state or local laws.
