Final Assembly TechnicianWork Location: Huntsville, ALFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSalary Range: The anticipated salary range for this role is $23 to $30 per hour. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment.Summary: The Final Assembly Technician performs final assembly and test functions on our Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's) and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS's). The role of Final Assembly Technician is a highly technical, hands-on role assembling aircraft, support equipment, and ground station communications per engineering and production documentation. Additionally, the Final Assembly Technician is key in supporting technical issues that arise with the support of Engineering.Responsibilities: The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.· Follows shop safety requirements and other relevant policies· Completes production documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness· Assembles UAV/UAS aircraft structures and subassemblies such as fuselages, wings, ground stations, and support kits· Operates precision measuring and test equipment· Communicates challenges with leadership and engineering· Maintains a clean and orderly workstation and production environment· Provides recommendations for improvement to management and engineering· Inspect UAV or UAV/UAS aircraft components per engineering and production documentation and checks for damage, defects, corrosion, or other wear and tear to ensure airworthiness· Recommends and perform replacement, repair, or modification of aircraft equipment based on inspection of returned aircraft· Supports problem solving activities for technical issuesRequired Qualifications:· High School Diploma or GED· 3+ years of assembly of small complex mechanical and electrical systems using hand tools in a production environment.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Ability to read and follow work instructions, engineering assembly drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and bills of materials.· Comfortable working in a fast-paced performance driven environment where quality is critical· Computer (Windows PC) competency in word processing and spreadsheets· High attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment· Technically minded solving problems with equipmentRedwire Defense Tech Benefits:Matching 401(k)Paid PTOPaid holidaysMedical, vision, and dental insuranceGroup Short-Term & Long-Term DisabilityHSA and FSA OptionsCritical Care PlanAccident Care PlanEmployee Stock Purchase PlanClearance Requirements: This position may require access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations ("ITAR") and/or the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR"). The role may require occasional activities such as walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and bending. Vision is necessary for reading printed materials and a computer screen, while hearing and speech are essential for effective communication both in person and over the telephone. Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment.
