Salary: $150,000 - $190,000

Always Compassionate Health is seeking a visionary, strategic Senior Director of EMR System & Workflow Optimization to lead, integrate, and scale our enterprise healthcare applications ecosystem. Moving beyond single-platform management, this leader will oversee a complex environment encompassing potentially four distinct EMR platforms, ensuring seamless backend configuration and tight integration into our broader, large-scale tech ecosystem.

Serving as a high-level enterprise liaison, the Senior Director will partner cross-functionally with diverse business units to eliminate operational silos, drive workflow optimization, and lead future vendor selection processes. This role requires an overarching, platform-agnostic EMR expert who prioritizes long-term tech strategy and scalable architecture over routine system administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-Platform EMR Governance: Oversee the strategic roadmap, lifecycle, and backend configuration of up to four distinct enterprise EMR systems across the organization.
• Ecosystem Integration: Architect and execute plans to integrate multiple EMR platforms seamlessly into the organization’s large-scale tech ecosystem, prioritizing data liquidity and unified reporting.
• Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and build a team of specialized applications personnel, directly managing 2 Systems Analysts (including a dedicated AlayaCare Specialist).
• Cross-Functional Workflow Optimization: Partner directly with clinical, financial, and operational business units to map, redesign, and optimize cross-platform workflows, driving efficiency and eliminating administrative bottlenecks.
• Strategic Vendor Management & Selection: Lead the evaluation, RFP processes, and vendor selection for future EMR acquisitions or system upgrades, ensuring alignment with enterprise scaling goals.
• Enterprise Architecture Alignment: Collaborate with IT and engineering leadership to ensure EMR backend configurations adhere to strict corporate data security, compliance, and infrastructure standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree (MHA, MBA, MS) highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience managing enterprise-level EMR/EHR environments, with a clear history of running multi-platform systems.
• Health System Background: Strong preference for candidates coming out of large hospital networks or major health systems , rather than small-scale home care or specialized agencies.
• Strategic vs. Technical Balance: Demonstrated experience as a high-level strategist who understands enterprise architecture, platform capability, and business alignment, backed by the ability to direct technical teams executing backend configurations.
• Vendor & RFP Expertise: Proven track record of leading complex vendor selection processes, software evaluations, and system migrations across a matrixed healthcare environment.
• System Knowledge (Preferred Pluses):
• Familiarity or exposure to RIS (Radiology Information Systems) and LIS (Laboratory Information Systems) is a massive advantage.

Note: Direct, hands-on experience with AlayaCare or DataScan is not required; the focus is on macro-level EMR expertise.
