Recognized as the Department of Defense's constructive disruptor for space acquisition, SDA delivers space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter to support terrestrial missions through development, fielding, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA capitalizes on a unique business model that values speed and lowers costs by harnessing commercial development to achieve a proliferated architecture and enhance resilience. We are seeking a Mission Engineer to support SDA’s mission. Mission Engineers support the Mission Engineering Lead in efforts to translate Warfighter needs/requests into CONOPS, OPSCON, Use Case, etc. to define the integrated capabilities the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) delivers to the Warfighter. Responsibilities include:ResponsibilitiesEngage with the Warfigther Integration Cell (WIC) and Warfighters and other organizations to define specific mission sets and how the PWSA implements and executes themSupport the Technical Director and Front Office in external engagementSupports development of CONOPS, OPSCON, use cases, and modeling and simulation capabilities to represent the appropriate mission casesPerforms trade studies and develops courses of action for PWSA capabilities and requirementsWorks with the Requirements Lead to perform functional analysis to create requirements for the Enterprise and for Technical Requirements Documents in support of solicitation developmentRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or relevant technical discipline10+ years experienceUnderstanding of satellite acquisition and operations technology best practicesFamiliarity with MBSE desired for representation of mission capabilitiesStrong written and oral communicationsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentTS/SCI Eligibility; #qinetiqclearedjobPay TransparencyThe salary range for this role is $180,000- $220,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
