Registered Client Service and Operations Associate (Wealth Management)

Position Overview

Cognetic Capital Advisors, a Westchester-based family wealth management firm, is seeking a Client Service and Operations Associate to support high-touch client service, account administration, and daily operating workflows. The associate will work closely with the leadership team and play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and professional support across the firm’s family office-style wealth management practice.

• Account Administration: Support new account openings, incoming account transfers, cashiering requests, wires, journals, checks, EFTs, RMDs, and 529 plan distributions.
\n
• Client Service Support: Monitor incoming communications for required follow-up, including capital calls, custodian alerts, tax payments, RMDs, and securities gifting.
\n
• Operational Coverage: Provide backup support for other client service and operations associates and assist with time-sensitive requests as needed.
\n
• Project and Compliance Support: Support audits, document requests, and ad hoc operational projects with accuracy and attention to detail.
\n
• Document Management: Maintain electronic files, client records, PDFs, Microsoft Word documents, and related materials in accordance with firm standards.

Systems and Tools

\n

\n
• Microsoft Excel for file creation, maintenance, updates, and data entry.
\n
• BOX for electronic document filing and archiving.
\n
• Salesforce for contact management, notes, and task management.
\n
• Microsoft Outlook for drafting, archiving, and managing client communications.
\n
• Microsoft Word for letters of authorization and other ad hoc documents.
\n

Required Skills and Qualifications

\n

\n
• BA/BS degree required.
\n
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience with a wealth management firm.
\n
• FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses required.
\n
• Experience with Fidelity Wealthscape, Morningstar Direct, and FactSet are helpful but not required.
\n
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
\n
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
\n
• Excellent client-facing communication skills, including strong written and verbal communication.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple objectives independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
\n
• Self-starter with strong professional judgment, work ethic, and commitment to high-quality execution.
\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and related business applications.
\n

Salary Range: $80,000 and $110,000 per year

\n

The successful candidate is also eligible for annual discretionary bonus compensation
