Check out our eCommerce site at Purchasing Specialist The Purchasing Specialist supports company’s rapidly growing purchasing activities. This newly created role is essential for our product development and global sourcing. We are a small and busy team. Start up spirit is a must. This entry level position has great upward growth potential for the right candidate. Requirements Bachelor's degree is required, preferably from any business major. 0 to 3 years professional work experience. Strong organizational and time management skills, with absolute attention to details. Multitasking ability: “Can Do” attitude is crucial for this position. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are required. Comfortable learning new software and new technologies. Familiarity with import/export procedures is a plus. Experience with shipping, logistics, or purchasing is preferred. English / Chinese bilingual is a plus but not required. Key Responsibilities Purchase automotive product samples under the direction of product development team, both online orders and offline purchases from local stores. Manage sample receiving process, including sample check in, locating correct part number, printing out labels, maintaining clear record. Manage and update purchasing information in the ERP system to ensure error-free buying activities and record keeping. Ship sample load overseas under the direction of global logistics team; creating shipping documents, contacting carriers, maintaining billing and payment records, and providing import / export custom support. Assist in the overseas vendor PO shipping as needed: selecting US carriers for ocean / air shipping, inputting shipping data and generating documents. Work with vendors on PO shipping follow ups. Create ongoing tracking reports under the direction of the management team. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Type/Location This is a full-time, in-office position located in Irvine, CA.
