Endoscopy Technician

The Endoscopy Technician supports the Endoscopy team by preparing procedure rooms, assisting physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures, handling and reprocessing endoscopes and accessories, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant environment for patient care. This role is critical to maintaining patient safety, infection prevention standards, and efficient patient flow in the Endoscopy Department.

Qualifications

Endoscopy Tech Job Requirements:

• Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. Completion of an Endoscopy Technician training program preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in Endoscopy.
• Skills: Endoscopic procedures and accessories. High-level disinfection (HLD) standards and workflow. Infection prevention principles. Follow detailed policies and procedures. Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced procedural environment. Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Attention to detail. Organizational skills. Effective communication skills.
• License / Certification: Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) SGNA or CBSPD (preferred, not required). BLS- Basic Life Support.
• Travel Requirements: Minimal.
