The Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist plays a vital role in supporting our Integrative/Functional Medical practice by managing both patient-facing and administrative tasks. Reporting to the Medical Director, this position involves scheduling, front desk management, patient intake, collecting payment, responding to patient questions/requests, and assisting healthcare providers during exams and procedures. The role requires proficiency in handling Electronic Health Records (EHR) and maintaining smooth office operations to ensure a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient scheduling and appointment coordination
• Oversee front desk operations and phone communication
• Conduct patient intake and maintain accurate medical records
• Assist providers with exams and procedures
• Phlebotomy
• Support billing processes and office administration tasks
• Maintain inventory of supplies and sterilize instruments
• Provide patient support and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Utilize general knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) software
• Send referrals and prescriptions

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in medical assisting or medical reception

Preferred Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in Medical Assisting
• Knowledge of patient scheduling and medical terminology
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Strong customer service, communication, and multi-tasking skills
• Proficient in data entry and HIPAA compliance
• Phlebotomy skills and ability to room patients
• Excellent organizational abilities and team player attitude.
