Case Mix: Level III NICU: premature and critically ill neonates, high-risk deliveries

No. of Beds in Department: 15-bed NICU

Trauma Level: Level 3

EMR System: Cerner (Ecare/Powerchart)

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Temporary Privileges Available: Yes

Credentialing Timeline: 90-120 days (Temporary privileges available)

Attend C-sections

Neonatal transfers

Resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill neonates

Board: Board Certified (BC) or truly Board Eligible (BE) in Neonatology

Licenses: Active Michigan medical license

Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS

Experience: Minimum recent experience in a Level 3 or 4 NICU (within last 6 months)

Other Qualifications: Local provider preferred; Clean background required; NPDB Self-Query report (within 30 days) required; Must indicate availability for specific open shifts

Provide in-house overnight coverage for 15-bed Level III NICU

Attend high-risk deliveries and C-sections

Manage neonatal admissions and transfers

Supervise NICU staff and coordinate care

Perform resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill neonates
