AHP, Associated Health Professionals, Inc., a Joint Commission Certified supplemental healthcare staffing agency, is seeking experienced IR Technologists to support the VA San Diego Healthcare System .

This is an excellent opportunity for IR Technologists looking for flexible per diem work  

Position Details :

• Position: IR Technologist
• Location: VA San Diego Healthcare System
• Schedule: Per Diem (Days, Evenings, Nights and Weekends) based on your availability, facility needs, and monthly scheduling.
• Pay Rate: $79.00
• Benefits: Available and customized to your individual needs as part of your compensation package

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required for Federal Employment (VA) positions.
• Minimum of two (2) years of current, consecutive IR experience; hospital experience is preferred.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) certification
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiologic (R) certification
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated experience performing fluoroscopy procedures and assisting physicians during image-guided interventions.
• Current California Fluoroscopy Permit required
• Experience using PACS and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to caring for Veteran patients.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies in accordance with safe patient handling guidelines.

Responsabilities;

• Prepare the interventional radiology suite, imaging equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies for procedures.
• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures.
• Assist the interventional radiologist during vascular and non-vascular image-guided procedures.
• Operate fluoroscopy and digital imaging equipment
• Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and quality control of imaging equipment.
• Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide safe, efficient patient care.
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and departmental policies and procedures.
