Bring your expertise to a rewarding contract position supporting students with visual impairments across multiple school environments. This role offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact, serving elementary, middle, and high school students within a collaborative cluster of schools. You'll engage with K-8 students, helping a manageable caseload of approximately 12, as you guide them toward academic and functional success.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative services for students with visual impairments, devising individualized instructional plans tailored to each student's needs.
• Travel within a designated school cluster, occasionally visiting up to three sites in a single day (most days, just two).
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, families, and specialists to promote inclusive learning environments.
• Assess student progress, adjust strategies, and participate in IEP development and meetings.
• Provide adaptive instruction, materials, and resources to empower students' independence.
• Mentor and support faculty regarding accessibility and accommodations.

Qualifications:

• Valid Educator Certification with Vision Endorsement.
• Previous experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, preferably in a K-8 or K-12 environment.
• Ability to manage itinerant assignments and travel between campuses as needed.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Successful completion of district background checks and fingerprinting (time-sensitive).
• Flexibility to adapt programming based on individual student needs.
