Entry Level Associate Attorney

Overview A law firm seeks an Entry Level Associate Attorney in Naperville, IL. This role offers significant courtroom experience, involving regular court appearances and management of a contested litigation queue. The position provides an opportunity to gain comprehensive knowledge of court procedures and the litigation process without billable hour requirements. Responsibilities Appear in court a minimum of three days per week. Review new claims for compliance. Sign off on pleadings for court filings. Draft motions and responses to contested matters. Argue contested motions and conduct trials and arbitrations. Manage communication with opposing counsel. Prepare and respond to discovery or oversee counterclaims. Qualifications Juris Doctorate and admittance to the Illinois Bar. Additional licenses in other states are valuable. Experience with Collection Master or similar case management systems preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well with diverse groups and court officials. Independent decision-making and detail-oriented.
