Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery

Ardent Health Facility: UT Health Tyler Location: Tyler, TX

Schedule:

  • Start Date: 07/10/2026
  • End Date: 07/12/2026
  • Shift: 7a-7p
  • Coverage Type: No Call
  • Setting: Inpatient
  • Patients per Shift: 10-15
  • Allowed Holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve

Credentialing:

  • Estimated timeframe: 5-7 days
  • EMR System: Epic

Practice Details:

  • Provider Type: Advanced Practice
  • Providers Requested: 1
  • Reason for Coverage: Scheduling Need

Additional Details:

  • Days needed: 7a to 7p for today and tomorrow
  • Rounding in ICU, pre and post-cardiac surgery, will manage patients coming off of vents
  • Taking care of patients who are coming out of the OR with open hearts, vats and lung cases
  • There are an average of 10-15 patients on the service at any time
  • OR experience with vein harvesting strongly preferred
