Registered Nurse (RN), Orthopedics Clinic

Job Type and Compensation Full-Time | 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per patient per month. $5,000 Sign-on Bonus, subject to eligibility criteria. Schedule Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts. About the Role Clinic RN serving the community at UP Health System - Portage. Responsibilities Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care. Document patient care provided. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, nursing home, patient, and family. Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Delegate patient care activities to appropriately qualified staff. Perform prior authorizations on tests, procedures, medications, etc. required by the patient’s insurance. Associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor’s degree preferred). Basic Life Support certification required (available upon hire).
