What You'll Do:

• Deliver high-quality patient care to ICU and step-down unit patients, including those with respiratory failure, stroke, sepsis, renal failure, and post-surgical neuro patients
• Manage ventilators, assist with intubations/extubations, and handle CVL management and placements
• Administer tube feedings via NGT or PEG and Foley catheter management
• Perform Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM), support stroke protocols, and ensure patient stability
• Utilize Meditech Expanse EMR system for documentation and charting
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT, PT, and OT to develop patient care plans
• Float to MedSurg units as needed, with support from resource nurses and hospital staff

What You Need:

• Active RN license in Louisiana or recognized Compact State
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or MedSurg RN experience, including stroke care and ventilator management
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (must pass EKG competency exam)
• Skilled in stroke protocols, ventilator management, intubation, CVL management, and tube feedings
• Ability to work with EMR systems and adapt to unit protocols
