Preschool Assistant Teacher

Bright Beginnings Preschool is looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Assistant Teacher to join our growing team! Our Assistant Teachers play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where young children can learn, play, and grow.

Position Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities, routines, and lesson plans.
• Provide attentive, loving, and age-appropriate care to children.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Support children with daily routines, including meals, diapering/toileting, handwashing, naps, and transitions.
• Engage children in educational activities, creative play, music, movement, and outdoor activities.
• Supervise children closely and maintain appropriate classroom safety at all times.
• Assist with classroom preparation, cleaning, organization, and sanitizing.
• Communicate professionally and positively with parents, teachers, and administration.
• Follow all preschool policies, procedures, health and safety guidelines, and state childcare requirements.
• Work as part of a team to provide a consistent and positive experience for children and families.
• Help create a classroom environment where every child feels safe, supported, and valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with young children is preferred but not required.
• A genuine love for children and early childhood education.
• Reliable, responsible, patient, and energetic.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced classroom environment.
• Must be willing to learn and follow all school policies and procedures.
• Must meet applicable state childcare employment requirements.
