If you're ready to build valuable skills in a clean, cutting-edge environment, Silfex is the place to start.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Operate machines that support the Silfex manufacturing and finishing processesLearn and perform 5S in and around work area by enacting lock out/tag outDevelop proficiency in 1–2 designated processes through hands-on training and experienceLearn and apply Silfex policies and procedures to perform routine tasks effectively and safelyFollow all material handling requirements to ensure quality of product and equipmentRead and interpret assembly drawings, follow all work instructions, setup sheets and process specificationsRecord quality and production data accurately and promptly in batch records, ERP systems, and productivity or quality logsEnsure cleanliness of the area and perform general and routine housekeeping tasksEnsure equipment is functioning properly by performing routine and minor maintenance. Initiate maintenance work orders when necessary to support operational efficiency.Develop and maintain competency in basic troubleshooting of equipmentDevelop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of the Silfex Quality Management System and properly apply Quality Procedures and Operating Procedures as appropriatePerform other duties and projects as assignedCulture:Display a positive attitude and strong work ethic that reflects the Mission and Core Values of Silfex.Create and maintain a culture where workplace safety is part of everything we do. Demonstrate ownership of continuous improvement ideas and activities. Maintain organization and cleanliness, housekeeping and 5S within work area. Maintain these areas at the highest degree possible while responsibly escalating any maintenance issues.Qualifications:Minimum of high school diploma or GED1 - 2 years of manufacturing experienceAbility and willingness to efficiently and effectively operate equipment in cleanroom apparel for 12-hour shifts and work safely around hazardous chemicalsAbility to learn how to interpret instructions and assess drawings to ensure product quality.Must possess basic proficiency in operating computers, including navigating software and web-based platformMust be safety and quality mindedAttention to detail is requiredMust be able to work effectively individually and in a team environmentAbility to adapt quickly and effectively to support the pace of work in the manufacturing areaMust be able to perform successfully under minimum supervisionGood verbal and written communication skillsPhysical Demands:Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to perform donning and doffing of required PPE while entering in and out of cleanroom type environments multiple times over the course of a shift. The employee is also frequently required to reach with hands and arms; walk, stand or sit; talk or hear and occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch.The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the environment is moderate.
