ETL QA Test Engineer | Contract | Hybrid, Rosemont, IL
\n \nWe are looking for a seasoned ETL Quality Assurance Test Engineer to join a high-impact data team on a contract basis out of Rosemont, IL. This is a hybrid role a mix of on-site and remote working and is open to local Chicago-area candidates only.
\n \nThe Opportunity
\n \nYou'll play a critical role in ensuring data integrity across a complex ecosystem that includes Master Data Management (MDM), Data Warehouse environments, legacy platforms, and online database systems. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes ownership of quality from strategy through execution.
\n \nWhat You'll Be Doing
\n- \n
- Leading ETL process and data testing across MDM, Data Warehouse, and legacy platforms \n
- Writing and executing complex SQL queries for results validation, data mining, and foreign key dependency analysis \n
- Developing and executing Test Strategy, Test Design, and Test Execution plans \n
- Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and producing heatmaps and reporting \n
- Collaborating cross-functionally with development and business teams to identify and resolve issues \n
- Working within both Agile and Waterfall methodologies \n
What You Bring
\n- \n
- 10+ years of hands-on ETL testing experience- this is non-negotiable \n
- 10+ years of Quality Assurance experience in enterprise environments \n
- 5+ years of Data Warehousing experience, including dimensional databases \n
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills with a strong focus on complex queries \n
- Proven experience with RCA, test lifecycle management, and QA best practices \n
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail \n
- Excellent communication and client-facing interpersonal skills \n
Nice to Have
\n- \n
- Scripting experience in Python, C#, JavaScript, or PowerShell \n
- Hands-on experience with Kodda or SSIS packages \n

- Must be local to the Chicago area \n
- Must be authorized to work in the US; USC, Green Card, or EAD only \n
