Project ManagerMust be local or relo-friendly 3 times a week, okay with just Tuesday and Thursday for candidates 100+ miles away.This person will need to be very assertive and also a lead for Apex to funnel through resource via MDC and domestic.Background:Already have this covered from our history with this team. On Prem to Cloud move.More interested in the MDC approach for this role.The PM aspect has changed because at first they were thinking CTH, but that may not happen.Next Gen is the Azure based cloud platform they are moving toward. The Current Gen setup is a very traditional on-prem setup.This group also does support of all these environments and is a relatively stable environment.Focus on how to prioritize work across different groups and keep them on track.Going to get a lot of different personalities working across these groups.Running 2 week sprints and it is pure Scrum right now. If something bigger happens it is a stand alone project outside of this process.Candidate Profile:PM would manage sprints and day to day requests to prioritize the work.Will do the sprint planning and daily stand up meetings for the team.Manage the day to day work. Almost Kanban like, but they call it Scrum. Understand work to improve efficiencies.Running 1 team with 7 people (mostly SSIS/Data Engineers). The PM would be the one interfacing with the customer.DOES NOT want a Scrum Master. Wants someone that can drive things to the finish line and get stuff. Agile Project Manager that knows Agile/Scrum/maybe some SAFe efforts.Buzzwords: Data, Cloud, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, ETL, Data Engineering, Database, Agile, Scrum, Sprint, Daily Stand Up, Project ManagementDomain/Environment Size: Prefers Manufacturing/Logistics/Supply Chain company experience in the past if possible.Certifications: Not requiredEducation: Not requiredYears of Experience: 5-10 years of Project Management experience is ideal. Open on what they did before they became a PM, but Data Engineering experience prior would stand out.Tactical Aspects of this Job: Using Azure DevOps (Azure Boards) right now for their project tracking. Open to other Agile Tracking Tools like JIRA. Experience around OnPrem to Cloud project work would really stand out.
