Senior Business Systems Analyst, AI Enablement

Senior Business Systems Analyst serves as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and AI teams at AbbVie, enabling adoption of AI automation and analytics in Development Sciences. The role focuses on translating business needs into AI-enabled solutions, managing requirements, and guiding projects through implementation without direct model development responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Development Sciences stakeholders, dossier management, and Regulatory Affairs to identify AI-enabled process improvement opportunities
• Elicit, analyze, and translate business needs into user stories, process flows, and requirements documents for delivery teams
• Support AI initiatives throughout the software development lifecycle including planning, backlog refinement, and adoption planning
• Coordinate with AI engineering and product teams to assess solution feasibility, ensure alignment with policies, and manage risks
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and support creation of value assessments and business cases for AI projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Information Systems, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related field plus 5 years experience; or Master's degree plus 4 years
• Business systems analysis, consulting, product ownership, or technology consulting experience
• Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements
• Proficiency facilitating stakeholder discussions and translating business needs into technology solutions
• Experience in GxP or regulated environments
• Practical understanding of generative AI, LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, machine learning fundamentals, and responsible AI governance
• Strong analytical, communication, and relationship management skills with knowledge of Agile and software development lifecycle methodologies
