We are seeking a Universal Banker to join our Asheville, NC team! WHAT You'll do: MEMBER SERVICING AND CASH HANDLING Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union in a friendly and professional manner. Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service. Promote credit union products and services based on members’ needs. Open new membership accounts. Provide information concerning credit union products and services in person, by telephone, or email. Respond to members’ inquiries and requests. Resolve problems and complaints or escal… ... WHAT You'll need: High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of experience in retail banking including experience in cash handling and opening accounts. Strong commitment to our mission – creating economic opportunity for traditionally underserved communities. Preference for working in organizations that place priority on teamwork and collaboration Keen attention to detail. Good knowledge and understanding of credit products including the ability to effectively and independently approve consumer loans up to lending authority. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to form and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Knowledge of basic economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets and banking. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Word and Excel. May be required to travel to cover other branches and work evenings and weekends. English/Spanish fluency preferred. Ability and willingness to work beyond normal work hours, as needed.
