Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
• Execute food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
• Ensure proper handling and storage of food items to minimize waste
• Uphold high standards of quality in food presentation and taste

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role within the food industry
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
• Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
• Experience in fine dining or catering environments is preferred
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus
