Job Summary This position may qualify for a sign‑on bonus. The role provides direct clinical patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing direct care to assigned patients on a per‑shift basis. The role supervises staff, supports the CNO to ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, maintains clinical staff competency, and manages resources related to patient care. Responsibilities Provide high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective, total nursing care to all patients. Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process. Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and infection control to discharge patients at an optimum level of care. Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime and administer all medications safely and timely per hospital policy. Perform and fulfill all hospital incident command system responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles during emergencies or disasters. Know the hospital’s emergency codes and adhere to the policies and procedures for each. Qualifications Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing. Experience Preferred: Recent acute care experience. Certifications Required: Currently licensed and registered to practice in the state of employment; AHA BLS; and, if applicable by corporate policy, AHA ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP.
