As a Medical Records/Unit Clerk, you'll help keep daily operations running efficiently by providing administrative support, coordinating communication between departments, and ensuring important resident information is handled accurately. Your organizational skills and positive attitude will contribute to a seamless experience for residents, families, and staff alike.

Medical Records/Unit Clerk Schedule & Benefits

Medical Records/Unit Clerk Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a long-term care setting is preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of medical records management and healthcare documentation standards.
- Answer phones as necessary
- Ability to work independently or part of a group
- Computer proficiency and experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
Medical Records/Unit Clerk Responsibilities
- Pass out ice water to residents, make beds, and answer resident call lights
- Report all accidents and incidents you observe as soon as possible
- Report all changes in the resident's condition to the Charge Nurse or Unit Manager
- Transfer hospital appointments and schedule doctor appointments
- Other duties as assigned by the Unit Manager, Director of Nursing, and Administrator
