Accounts Payable Clerk
The Accounts Payable position is responsible for supporting day-to-day financial operations by ensuring accurate, timely processing of vendor invoices and payments. This role works closely with internal teams and external vendors to maintain accurate records and resolve discrepancies. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $19 and $22/hr.
Responsibilities
- Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation
- Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and compliance with company policies
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries
- Prepare and process weekly check and ACH payment runs
- Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and payment details
- Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding balances
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
- Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Prior experience in accounts payable or general accounting support
- Strong understanding of invoice processing and three-way matching
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally
