Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Special Education Teacher across two school sites within Ventura County. This contract position is perfect for educators passionate about making a difference in students’ lives, especially those with mild to moderate needs and Autism. You’ll play a key role in fostering an inclusive, thriving learning environment throughout the school year, working full-time hours (35–37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday).

Key Qualifications:

• Valid California Teaching Credential in Special Education, or Mild to Moderate credential
• Autism Authorization required
• Experience working with students who have Autism
• Deep understanding of IEP development, instructional differentiation, and classroom management
• Strong collaborative skills for engaging with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Compassion and flexibility in adapting to the diverse needs of K–12 learners

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction aligned with students’ IEPs
• Develop lesson plans that support learning objectives for mild to moderate caseloads
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Maintain detailed records on student progress and contribute to IEP meetings
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture
• Address behavioral and learning challenges using evidence-based approaches
