Transportation Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing transportation activities. EDUCATION High school diploma. EXPERIENCE Required: 1+ years of relevant experience in shipping/receiving, transportation, logistics, or a related field. Preferred: 1-2 years of relevant experience at a third‑party logistics company or carrier. POSITION REQUIREMENT(S) Strong communication and negotiation skills. Adaptability and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. General understanding of LTL and FTL shipping practices. Preferred: Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance, hazardous materials, or liquid bulk experience. CORE COMPETENCIES (Essential Job Functions) Manage and coordinate the scheduling of Full Truckload (FTL) and Less Than Truckload (LTL) carriers for multiple company locations. Evaluate transportation modes for customer orders to minimize freight expense. Assist with spot quotes. Assist with route planning and scheduling for both inbound and outbound shipments. Track service issues for Transportation Analyst to address with carriers. Act as a liaison between internal teams, customers, and transportation providers to resolve issues, provide updates, and maintain a high level of service. Maintain accurate records of shipments, routes, and transportation‑related documents such as customs paperwork. Identify areas for process improvement and assist with implementing transportation efficiency enhancements. Other duties as assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr
