The Cardiac Evaluation Unit specializes in caring for patients recovering from complex cardiac events and procedures, offering an excellent environment for nurses looking to deepen their cardiac expertise.On 5100, you will:Care for patients with heart failure, post-MI, and those requiring continuous oxygen therapyManage post–Cath Lab patients, including TAVR and PCICare for post-device patients (pacemakers, AICDs) and those with temporary pacemakers or arterial sheathsAdminister and monitor cardiac drips for arrhythmias and CHFCollaborate closely with the Cath Lab team, with strong opportunities for career progression into Cath Lab nursingIf you're seeking a supportive, fast-paced unit that will expand your cardiac skills and open doors across your nursing career, 5100 offers the perfect next step.Responsibilities:· Patient Care & Service. Promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; performing various treatment procedures; providing physical, educational and emotional support to patients, friends and families; supervising assigned team members· Planning & Communication. Develop and document individualized care plans customized for each patient's unique needs, with support from the interdisciplinary health team as needed; maintain effective communication to convey patient health status, treatment plans and progress· Electronic Health Record (EHR) Management. Demonstrate proficient use of an EHR – including accurate patient and provider documentation and communication· Compliance.
