Office Assistant

The Rowan County Housing Authority is seeking a dependable and professional Part-Time Office Assistant to provide clerical, receptionist, and customer service support for our office. Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate staff. Greet and assist applicants, tenants, vendors, and visitors. Provide general information about Housing Authority programs and services. Receive, sort, and distribute mail, applications, and documents. Perform data entry, scanning, copying, filing, and records maintenance. Assist with preparing letters, forms, notices, applications, and meeting materials. Accept and record rental payments and issue receipts as assigned. Provide routine administrative support to staff. Maintain confidentiality of applicant, tenant, financial, and Housing Authority information. Perform other clerical and office duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous office, clerical, receptionist, or customer service experience preferred. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with the public. Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurately handle records and information. Work Schedule This is a part-time position .
