Quality Inspector

Quality InspectorWe are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to support quality assurance and quality control efforts on a utility-scale solar construction project. This role requires close collaboration with field teams, project management, and subcontractors to ensure all electrical installations meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.ResponsibilitiesPerform quality inspections of electrical installations, including DC/AC wiring systems, combiner boxes, inverters, and switchgear.Verify construction aligns with engineering drawings, project specifications, NEC, and applicable codes/standards.Support inspection and test plans (ITPs) and documentation processes.Conduct and document pre-installation inspections, in-process inspections, and final acceptance walkdowns.Track and report non-conformance issues (NCRs) and support resolution efforts.Maintain detailed quality records, reports, and turnover documentation.Collaborate with field superintendents, electrical foremen and crews, project managers, and engineers.Assist in coordinating with third-party inspectors and client representatives.Support commissioning readiness and punch list completion.Essential SkillsElectrical inspection expertise.Knowledge of solar electric installations.Familiarity with electrical codes and standards.Proficiency in quality assurance and inspection techniques.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in project management.Ability to work with inspection and test plans.Strong documentation and reporting skills.Work EnvironmentThis position is located onsite at a green field solar farm. The role involves outdoor work within a construction environment, requiring adherence to safety protocols and standards.Job Type & LocationThis is a contract position based out of Peoria, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
