Step into a meaningful role supporting the youngest learners and their families as a Physical Therapist within an Infant and Toddler Program. Based in the Leonardtown, MD area, this full-time contract opportunity offers a unique chance to deliver critical early intervention services. You'll work on an itinerant basis, with mileage between sites reimbursed, and enjoy flexible scheduling to balance your professional and personal commitments. This 11-month position is ideal for those who are ready to start soon and continue making a difference through July 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Maryland
- Experience or sincere interest in serving infants, toddlers, and young children within educational or therapeutic settings
- Ability to work independently, managing a flexible and dynamic caseload across multiple locations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with families, educators, and related service providers
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to infants and toddlers as part of early intervention programming
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's developmental goals and needs
- Travel within the service area, ensuring continuity of care across multiple locations (mileage reimbursed)
- Collaborate with families and school teams to facilitate functional skill advancement in natural environments
- Maintain compliance with documentation standards and participate in team meetings and planning sessions
