Make a meaningful impact providing care for young learners as a Physical Therapist supporting an infant and toddler caseload. This full-time contract position is based at a district office in a dynamic and supportive educational setting, offering the opportunity to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to early childhood development. You'll have a key role in empowering children and their families by delivering services that foster motor, sensory, and functional skills critical for growth and participation in daily activities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid and active Maryland PT license
- Experience working in school-based physical therapy or pediatric settings highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of early intervention services and individualized family service plans (IFSP)
- Commitment to best practices serving infants, toddlers, and their families
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with educators, therapists, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess motor skills and functional abilities of infants and toddlers referred for physical therapy
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary team members
- Document therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes according to district and state standards
- Consult and provide training for families, teachers, and staff on strategies and accommodations
- Participate in team meetings, eligibility evaluations, and transition planning
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical requirements
