Position Summary The Senior Consultant, Life Sciences & Healthcare Consulting Group is responsible for creating client‑ready project deliverables and supporting client management and practice development activities. Senior Consultants interact regularly with clients, support day‑to‑day project delivery, and contribute to the growth of the consulting practice. Key Responsibilities Develop strategies to solve complex challenges. Assist in the timely management and high‑quality delivery of client projects. Keep up to date with U.S.‑focused healthcare issues, updates, and trends that impact our clients. Begin to build relationships with key client stakeholders in the healthcare industry, including hospital, health systems, physician practices, healthcare technology and service providers. Support business development efforts and other activities to expand the market presence of the consulting team and the broader Paul Hastings Life Sciences & Healthcare team. Support and learn about key aspects of the Consulting Group’s practice development and other internal operations (account planning, marketing, recruiting, training, and performance management). Qualifications and Experience Passion for being part of and helping to grow a new practice within a high‑energy, highly collaborative team of driven professionals. Solid working knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system and how healthcare organizations are structured and operate. Foundational knowledge of U.S. regulatory agencies (e.g., HHS‑OIG, DOJ, FDA) and relevant guidelines, policies, standards, practices, and precedents (e.g., Anti‑Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA, Corporate Integrity Agreements). Skilled in healthcare compliance program elements, risk assessments, and investigations (internal and external) through a combination of deep subject‑matter expertise and complex data analysis. Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong grasp of graphics‑and‑text‑based storytelling. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio or other process mapping tools). Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, English, or related field (required). JD, MBA, MPH, or other postgraduate degree (preferred). 3+ years of professional experience, preferably in healthcare operations, compliance, or consulting/professional services. Proficiency in project management, preparing written analyses, reports, presentations, analyzing healthcare transactional data, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau). Previous consulting experience in at least one of the following areas related to healthcare compliance program and risk management: billing/revenue cycle operations and compliance; healthcare operations and data privacy; healthcare‑focused internal and external investigations and litigation support services (including data analytics); risk assessments, monitoring, and auditing. Salary and Benefits Salary: $101,500 to $147,250 annually (actual compensation may vary based on experience and other factors). The role is exempt (not overtime‑eligible) and offers a generous total compensation package with opportunities to earn bonuses based on individual contribution and firm profitability.
