JOB LOCATION: JERSEY CITY, NJ (FT In Office)

We are a third generation, family-owned, specialty food distributor servicing the food industry for over 70 years. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated candidate who is interested in food distribution to join our team! This individual will be responsible for taking customer phone and email orders, handling any customer concerns and delivery issues, performing order entry and providing inside sales support. This is a great opportunity to learn about the food business as you grow within the position!

Additional Responsibilities:

• Provide information about our products and services
• Troubleshoot and resolve product issues, interacting with logistics when necessary
• Offer suggestions for substitutions, up-sell products
• Interact with company's sales staff, handling issues with customers' orders
• Update customer records based on interactions
• Stay up to date with our constantly evolving products and services
• Participate in occasional product taste testing

Qualifications:

• Previous food service office experience in customer service, inside sales support and/or order entry strongly preferred
• Accurate data entry skills
• Ability to build rapport and develop relationships with our customers
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Positive and professional demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid math and computer skills
• Able to maintain regular and reliable attendance

Education:

• High school diploma strongly preferred, college degree a plus

This is a full-time, in office position, Monday through Friday with OT.
