Restaurant General Manager

Job Description

The Restaurant General Manager oversees a medium-sized team of 20-50 employees, ensuring smooth daily operations focused on operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, this role is pivotal in managing all aspects of the restaurant's performance, from staff management to financial reporting, without any travel requirements.

Responsibilities

Manage and develop staff to maintain high performance and customer satisfaction
Control inventory to optimize stock levels and reduce waste
Ensure exceptional customer service standards throughout the restaurant
Develop and manage budgets to meet financial goals
Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage
Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members
Implement quality assurance practices to maintain consistent service and product standards
Manage relationships with vendors for efficient supply chain operations
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational regulations
Drive marketing efforts to promote the restaurant and increase customer engagement
Prepare and analyze financial reports to inform decision-making
Oversee daily restaurant operations to maximize efficiency and profitability

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years in restaurant management
Proven team leadership skills
Experience in inventory management
Strong customer service orientation
Budgeting and financial management expertise
Effective staff scheduling abilities
Conflict resolution skills
Marketing and promotional experience
Quality control knowledge
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
