Accounting Manager

Some Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger. Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to senior management. Prepare management reports, financial analyses, and budget-to-actual variance reports. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management functions. Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation. Monitor cash flow and assist with treasury management activities. Ensure proper reconciliation of bank accounts and balance sheet accounts. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable regulations. Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies. Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities. Assist with tax filings and compliance requirements in coordination with external advisors. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor departmental spending and provide financial guidance to business leaders. Support strategic planning through financial analysis and reporting. Evaluate and improve accounting procedures and workflows. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or MBA. 8+ years of progressive accounting experience. 5+ years of experience in a medium size company. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Experience in closing multiple company books and month-ends. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Preferred Qualifications: CPA, CMA, or similar professional certification. Experience with SAGE 50 and ADP Workforce Now. Experience in home healthcare. Public accounting experience is a plus. Board experience Physical & Work Environment Requirements: In-office position.
